Christmas, year 2009, is the essence still existing?

As we all know, Philippines is not the only country that suffer from crisis but worldwide. With this kind of scenario that our world posses nowadays, are we still bounded to celebrate for holidays like Christmas and new year? What are really the purposes of the people in celebrating this most awaited season? Do we still knew what is the real essence of having this kind of celebration?

First and foremost, we must know the reason WHY CHRISTMAS?

lets take it little by little. If we will separate it into two words, we have CHRIST and MAS. Christ, the very essence of this season , the reason of all living and the source of all faith. The almighty who sacrificed his very own life for us to be saved from the sins we had committed. "Mas"which atands for the mass, the very holy ritual that spreads the glory and holiness of our God.
